Cotton prices rise
  Mumbai, Sep 4 UNI Cotton prices moved up today on sustained demand from industrial users, traders at the Cotton Association of India CAI said. The cotton varieties like V-797, Karnataka Jayadhar and Y-1 soared by Rs 300 per candy each due to better demand from stockists. Punjab-J-34 and LRA too rallied by Rs 500 per candy each due to inadequate stocks supply from stockists, traders added. Following were the cotton rates per candy 335.62 kg in Indian rupees.

Punjab approves subsidy for cattle shed construction
